Apple's Volume Purchase Program


Prior to August 2010, schools would purchase one app and download it to all their iPod Touch devices. With the advent of Apple's Volume Purchase Program, paid apps must be purchased for each device, although there is often a discount from the developer. The procedure for purchasing apps to put on multiple devices is complicated and costly, and for now, our school is focusing on free apps. Apple recently simplified the process a bit by making sign-up completely online and creating a Program Manager position . Please read the February 1, 2011, article from IEAR below for more details.
